It is the sort of hardworking pottery that would have been equally at home coming from the oven to the supper table or sitting on an open pantry shelf.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat makes this particular piece especially lovely is its \u003cstrong\u003eremarkable condition for its age\u003c\/strong\u003e. The glaze remains beautiful and glossy, and the original lid and base have survived together exceptionally well.
