Letters and Notes From Sugarwood

A Little Something I've Been Dreaming About...

Over the years, so many of you have taken the time to send me the most thoughtful letters, cards, notes, and photographs from all over the world. I want you to know that I have saved each and every one of them. They are tucked away like little treasures in my office, and from time to time I pull them out to read again.

One thing I've always wished I could do is write back to every single one of you. Unfortunately, with so many kindred spirits, that simply isn't possible, though I truly wish it were.

Many of you may also remember when we exchanged Christmas cards years ago. It was such a special tradition, and I've often thought about how much I miss those slower, more personal moments of connection.

That is what inspired this new idea.

For quite some time, I've been dreaming about creating these special mailings from Sugarwood.

Written in one of the rooms of Sugarwood, with a cup of tea or coffee nearby, each envelope will include a personal letter from me, along with an ever-changing selection of small treasures such as homemaking notes, recipes, gardening ideas, bookmarks, historic discoveries, photographs, stickers, or perhaps a few heirloom-inspired surprises. 

These are intended to be simple seasonal letters rather than large mail-order boxes, allowing me to keep them personal, affordable, and easy to send all over the world.

Rather than yet another email to scroll through, I hope each mailing becomes something you look forward to finding in your mailbox, one you might enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee before tucking it away to read again another day.

Thank you, as always, for your kindness, your encouragement, and the many messages and letters you've shared with me over the years. My hope is that these seasonal mailings will be a small way of writing back to all of you and continuing the warm sense of community we've built together as Kindred Spirits, through New England Fine Living.
