Vermont Spiced Apple Cider Concentrate

Few things taste quite as much like autumn in New England as a warm mug of spiced apple cider.

Made by the family-owned Mountain Cider Company in North Chittenden, Vermont, this all-natural cider concentrate began on the family's own apple orchard and Christmas tree farm more than 30 years ago. Apples are slowly concentrated and blended with traditional spices, creating a rich, true apple cider flavor without added sugar or preservatives.

Simply mix one ounce of concentrate with seven ounces of hot water for a warming mug of cider. Each small jug makes 16 cups, making it easy to keep cider on hand whenever the mood strikes, from the first cool days of fall through Christmas and the long winter beyond.

And don't stop at the cider mug. The concentrate can also be used to add rich apple and spice flavor to baked goods, sauces, glazes, cocktails, and other seasonal recipes.

Best of all, it requires no refrigeration and has a shelf life of 24 months or more, making it a wonderful little staple for the pantry.
